CANCELLATION  AND REFUND

POLICY

 

The Learning Pal Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to all plans and packages.

How to cancel your  service plan/package:
To cancel a plan/package registration, please send an email to admin@thelearningpal.com.  The subject of your message must say "Cancel Services -Your City".  Include your name, your student's name and your contact phone number and reason for cancellation.  You will receive an email to confirm the cancellation.

Refunds for cancellations prior to initial session start date
You may cancel your plan/package registration up to 3 days prior to the initial session start date and be eligible for a full refund minus a $250 admin fee to cover the cost for the resources and preparation that was required prior to your initial session. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of the email confirmation.

Refunds for cancellations after the initial session date

Should you cancel a service plan/package within 7 days following the initial session start date a  50% refund will be provided for any unused session hours.  Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of the email confirmation.

 

If you cancel  a service plan/package 8 or more days following the initial session start date, no refund will be provided for any unused session hours.  A credit will be provided to be used toward the cost of future services.  The credit will be equivalent to the cost of any unused session hours.

 

Rescheduling or cancellation of sessions by The Learning Pal
In rare instances, sessions may be cancelled by your assigned Learning Pal, usually due to unforeseen circumstances.  Your assigned Learning Pal must inform you of their need to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to the session.  In this case, you have the option to request an Emergency Pal to cover that session or you may opt to reschedule the session with the assigned Learning Pal.  If your assigned Learning Pal fails to communicate within the required time window you will receive a credit for the unused session time.   All efforts will be made from the time the notice is provided to re-schedule the session at an agreed upon date and time. 

Learning Pal substitutes

The Learning Pal may choose, due to circumstances that arise, to substitute a different Learning Pal for the private sessions. The Learning Pal will make every effort to notify the families in advance of such changes. If there is a permanent change in the assigned Learning Pal, the family may elect within 7 days of receiving notice of the change to discontinue with the program and will receive a full prorated refund for unused sessions. The refund will be made within 10 business days. 

Refunds for students who are late or miss sessions
It is extremely important that students respectfully attend all sessions on time. If a student is late for a session, the assigned Learning Pal will wait up to 15 minutes before the student will be considered absent and thus will not be refunded for the session. If a student is unable to attend a session, the assigned Learning Pal must be informed a minimum of 24 hours prior to the session or the session time will be deducted from the student's available hours. In cases where the student or a member of the household is sick and 24 hours notice was not an option, a credit will be given for the unused hours and the credit may be used at a later date.
